Economics Institute Actively Expands the Teaching Practice Base for International Students

On the afternoon of June 15, the  Economics Institute signed a contract with Chengdu Chuangkefang Science and Technology Development Center, and laowai HERE teaching practice base and the awarding ceremony was held in Chengdu. Zhang Ming, head of Chengdu Chuangkefang, Cheng  Harvey, CEO of laowai HERE, Wu Ping, vice president of the Economics Institute, Shen Qianling, director of the Department of International Economics and Trade, and related teachers of the college participated in the signing and licensing ceremony. At the ceremony, Wu Ping introduced the basic situation of the Economics Institute and expressed his affirmation on the results of the preliminary cooperation between the college and Chengdu Chuangkefang and laowai HERE., hope that in the future, school and enterprise will carry out more in-depth training in personnel training, international student teaching internships and undergraduate employment. Zhang Ming introduced the basic situation of Chengdu Chuangkefang, the industry situation, the government's innovation and entrepreneurship policy, etc. He said that he would actively cooperate with the college work, establish a good communication channel between the college and the enterprise, and create a good employment platform. Cheng Harvey said that he will further deepen his cooperation with the college and provide teaching internships for more international exchange students.

The teachers visited the international exchange students who were internships in the two companies and were concerned about their internship and life in China. International exchange students thanked the college for their internship opportunities, saying that teaching internships not only enabled them to apply what they learned, but also expanded their understanding of China's economic and social development. The heads of the two companies believe that these international students have very high commercial qualities and can provide new ideas for the development of the international market, especially the European market, and have strong business capabilities. They are satisfied with the internship performance of international students.

Founded in January 2012, Chengdu Chuangkefang is the first maker space in Southwest China. It is also one of the earliest established maker spaces in China. It is a national and provincial incubator space and is committed to providing entrepreneurial conditions for technology innovation enterprises. Founded in 2014 by an international team from four countries,laowai HERE aims to be a bridge for two-way services and benefits, promote cross-cultural communication between China and foreign countries, help foreigners and businesses settle in China, integrate into China, and develop international business culture.
